Tamil Newyear & Vishu Recipes

Tamil Puthandu is known as Chithirai thirunal better known as Tamil New Year celebrated on the first day of Tamil calender Chitirai month by Tamilians  and popularly celebrated as Varusha Pirappu or Chithirai Kani.Chithirai thirunal will be celebrated on April 13th or April 14th of every year. On the eve of Puthandu, a tray arranged with  fruits  betel leaves,  gold/silver jewellery, coins/money, flowers and a mirror is placed, which is the first thing to be seen by us in the morning.It is considered auspicious. It is believed that it brings prosperity.
