Pallipalayam Paneer is a Spicy Paneer Recipe, made from Pallipalayam Masala. Pallipalayam is a small town near Erode of Coimbatore district. I had this Paneer is one of the famous Restaurant in Coimbatore. The taste was awesome. so I wanted to try it. I Googled & found Pallipalayam Chicken Recipe, so i Replaced it with Paneer. Key Ingredient of this Recipe is Pearl Onion & Red chillies. Red chillies add Spiciness to the Recipe. Now we will see the Preparation of Pallipalayam Recipe.

Ingredients
Paneer - 250 gms.
Pearl Onions - 20.
Curry leaves - 2 Sprig.
Red chillies - 6.
Coconut Pieces - 12.(thinly sliced)

Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp.
Turmeric - 1/8 tsp.
Salt - to taste.
For Paste
Pearl Onions - 4
Garlic - 6.
Red chillies - 2.
To Temper
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Coconut oil - to fry.
Preparation
- Grind Pearl Onion + Garlic into a Paste.
- Soak Red Chillies in a hot water for 15 minutes & Grind Red Chillies into a Smooth Paste.
- Deseed the Red chillies & broke into 2.
- Chop the Pearl Onions finely.
- Heat the oil, add mustard seeds. When it Splutters add Fennel seeds. saute till you get Good aroma.
- Add Broken Red chillies & Curry leaves.
- Saute till Red chillies slightly changes its colour. Add coconut pieces. saute for a minute.
- Add finely chopped Onions. Saute till it turns Pink.
- Add Onion- Garlic Paste,saute till raw Smell Goes off.
- Add Paneer, Mix well.
- Add Garam Masala, Turmeric Powder & Salt. Mix well. Saute in a low medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Finally add Chilli Paste, Mix well.Saute for a minute. Serve hot.
Notes
- you can crush & add 1/2 tsp of Pepper.
- you can replace chilli Paste with Red Chilli Powder.
- Always use Coconut oil for authentic taste.
- Adding coconut bites gives nice crunchy taste to Recipe.
