Fried idli (Mumbai Style) || left over idli Recipe || Fried idli (With left over idli's)

 Fried idli is a simple crispy snack recipe, made with left over idli's or one day old idli's. you can make this snack in jiffy. idli's are cut into wedges or finger & it is shallow fried till it turns crisp.Then tossed with spice powder. 



Fried idli(Mumbai Style) 

 Prep Time :  2 minutes
Cook Time : 10 minutes

Serves: 2.

Ingredients

idli (left over) - 4.

Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp.

pav bajji Masala  or Garam Masala  - 1/4 tsp.

Salt - to taste.

oil - to shallow fry


Preparation

Cut down the cooled idli, into wedges.




Method

Heat the oil in a pan, i used 4 to 5 tbsp of oil.

When the oil is hot, Gently place the idli wedges in the kadai.



Once it turns Golden , in one side of idli, flip the idli.



When it turns Golden on both the sides & it turns crisp, add Chilli Powder, Pavbhaji Masala & Salt.


Toss the idli's with Spice Powder, make sure idli  wedges coats well with all the Spice powders.



Serve hot.


Notes

Always use cooled idli's or one day old idli or you can also refrigerate the idli's for an hour.

instead of pavbhaji masala, you can also add Idli Podi for different taste.

Instead you can also add pepper Powder.
