Double Beans Potato kurma is a healthy delicious kurma Recipe, made with fresh double beans. you can make with dried Double Beans also, but it has to be soaked over night. This Korma Pairs with chapathi,roti,Parotta,Paratha , jeera Rice, pulao & Dosa too.
Fresh Beans Potato kurma
Prep Time : 15 minutes.Ingredients
Double Beans - 1 Cup.
Onion - 1.
Green Chilly - 1.
potato (Big) - 1 . (if small 2)
salt - as needed.
To Grind
Cashew nuts - 15.
Poppy seeds - 1 tsp.
coconut - 1/4 cup.
Tomato - 2.
Spice Powders
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp.
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp.
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp.
Turmeric - 1/8 tsp.
To Temper
oil - As needed.
Cinnamon -1.
cloves -1.
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Preparation
Peel the skin of Double Beans & keep it Ready.
Chop the onion & slit the Green chilly.
Chop the potato & place the chopped potato in bowl of water , to avoid discoloration.
Method
1. Grind 15 Cashews,1/4 cup coconut,1 tsp of Poppy seeds & 2 tomatoes with little water into a smooth Paste.
2. Heat a small cooker( i used 3 litres cooker), add oil, add cinnamon,cloves,fennel seeds & slit Green chilly.
3. Saute till whole spices, turns aromatic, add onion, saute till it turns transparent.
4. Add potato saute for a minute.
5. Add double beans give a mix.
6. Add all spice powders Coriander Powder,Turmeric powder,Chilli Powder & Garam Masala.
7. Mix well, such that Masala, coats over the double beans.
8. Now add Ground Paste & salt.
9.Add a cup of water & Mix well.
10. Close the lid & pressure cook for 4 whistles.
11. When the pressure subsides,open the lid, give a quick Mix & Garnish with Fresh coriander leaves.
12. Pressure cooked Doube Beans kurma is Ready to serve.
Notes
if using dried double beans soak it overnight.
