Potato Raita - Aloo Raita - Spicy Aloo Raita

Aloo Raita is an Easy Raita Recipe made with boiled & cubed Potato mixed with fresh yogurt & Spices.It Goes well with Roti,chapathi,Pulao,Biriyani & Fried Rice.Already I have Posted Cucumber Carrot Raita,Mixed Vegetable Raita,this Raita is  Spicy  like Masala Raita Recipe.


Spicy Aloo  Raita

 Prep Time :  5   min.  
Cook Time : 10   minutes.

Serves: 3 - 4.

Ingredients

Fresh Curd - 1 Cup (Yogurt/Dahi)
Potato - 1.
Green chilli - 1.
Pepper Corns crushed - 1/4 tsp.
cumin Powder - 1/4 tsp.
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp.
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp(finely Chopped)
Salt - As needed.
     

Preparation
  • Boil the potato for 3 whistles,peel the skin & cube it.

Method

  • Take a Mixing bowl, add curd & salt. beat the curd till  smooth.
  • Add crushed Pepper Corns,Cumin Powder & chopped Green chilly.Mix well.        


  • Add Cubed Potatoes.
   
  • Add Garam Masala, Give a quick Mix.
  • Garnish with finely Chopped  fresh Coriander leaves.                          
  • Serve with biriyani,Pulao,Roti or Paratha.
  

Notes
  • Always use fresh Curd for Good taste.
  • you can  add finely chopped curry leaves also.
  • Instead of crushed Pepper Corns, you can use chilli Powder also.
  • Adding Garam Masala increases Spice level of Raita.
